Shani's Story

About Shani Moore

Shani Moore is a multi award-winning crochet designer, teacher, and creative entrepreneur, best known for her sell-out crochet retreats and workshops. Her journey into crochet began at just nine years old, inspired by a rich family tradition passed down from her grandmother, Jessie, and her mother, June. Their guidance not only shaped her skills but instilled a lifelong love for the craft and its heritage.

Balancing family life, raising three children, and running her own creative business in Wiltshire, crochet has always remained a constant in Shani’s life. Rarely without hook and yarn in hand, she continued to create, learn, and refine her craft every single day.

In 2014, after relocating to Wiltshire, Shani founded Creative Crochet by Shani, turning her passion into a thriving and respected business. Alongside her creative work, Shani is deeply committed to community wellbeing and connection.

She proudly leads the Community Carer's Crochet Workshop at Willowbrook View Care Home every Thursday, creating a welcoming space where carer's and residents can relax, connect, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of crochet together.

Through Creative Crochet by Shani, Shani creates everything from toys and blankets to charity items including goods for sleeping babies, animal coats, and bird nests. Her work, dedication, and community impact have earned her multiple awards and a loyal following.

At the heart of everything Shani does is a genuine love for crochet, a commitment to sharing skills, and a desire to bring people together through creativity—continuing a family legacy one stitch at a time 🧶✨
